Screw eyes and screw hooks are handy devices with a variety of purposes, mainly to hang things and hook them together.
Screw eyes are classified according to eye size: the larger the eye, the longer the shank. Screw eyes and hooks range from a tiny 1/2 inch long up to 3 inches.
To get the right screw eye or hook, you don't need to know the numbering system that is used; knowing the job at hand and what's available is enough. In some cases the items are carded together, but you can also buy them loose.
