Buying information: Wax rings are pushed against the top of toilet soil pipe, and the horn or bottom of the toilet bowl is pressed into this, making a watertight seal. Wax rings come single size and double as well as with a plastic sleeve. The latter is the best ring to buy. It ensures a leak-free seal and also can help if the bowl is a little lopsided; the ring with sleeve will still do the job.
