SASH CHAIN

SASH CHAIN, home hardware

Description: This has flat links either diamond- or oval-shaped. It comes copper-plated or sprayed with aluminum.

Buying information: Sash chain is used for double-hung windows. Since it is flat, it rides easily over pulleys. It is a good chain for replacing rope. (Rope is a better choice in areas close to the sea, where metal chain could deteriorate.)

How-to hint: Cut with the cutting jaws on slip-joint pliers.
