CLOTHESLINE ROPE
Description: This is made of various materials. Commonly it is 1/4-inch or 5/16-inch white cotton braid (also known as number 7 sash cord); another type is wire covered with a thin sheath of plastic; yet another is braided polyethelene. It comes in 50- and l00-foot hanks.
Buying information: Cotton clothesline holds clothespins better than plastic, but soils more easily.
