Description: This is chrome-plated brass, and consists of a horizontal rod on top of which are short arms that connect to the seat, and bolts that connect to the toilet.

Buying information: Chrome-plated brass hinges are expensive. Today most seats come with plastic hinges. However, standard chrome hinges cost just as much as plastic ones.
