LAVATORY FAUCET
Description: Lavatory faucets come in an incredible variety of shapes, including ones that resemble fish and other creatures. Buying information: See tips given in the introductory section previously. How-to hints: Disconnecting the old faucet and connecting the new one is made much easier by using a basin wrench, which is designed to work in limited space and reach, and turn the nuts connecting the water lines to the faucet lines. If a basin wrench is not available, you can use locking pliers. You can clamp these on a nut and exert full turning pressure on the handles without having to squeeze the tool hard so the jaws stay on the nut. Before attempting any of this, however, you should turn off the water supply valves under the lavatory and shut off the water supply. |
