Description: This is sort of an L-shaped piece with four sharp points. It is available galvanized.
Buying information: Like corrugated fasteners, chevrons are used to assemble boards end-to-end and to join the corners of picture frames. They are also excellent for preventing big boards from splitting.
How-to hints: Unlike corrugated fasteners, you can use these in hard wood as well as soft. Some boards are split at the ends and are in danger of splitting along the length. To stop this, just drive a chevron or two over the split so it can't pull apart.
