CASING NAIL
Description: This is a variation on the finishing nail. It is slightly thicker and has a flat head rather than a cupped one. It gets its name from the fact that it was once primarily used on case molding. It comes in plain and galvanized finishes. Buying information: Casing nails can be used for securing trim where sinking nailheads beneath the surface doesn't matter. Drive the heads flush with the surface and paint over. |
