JUNCTION (CEILING) BOX
Description: This is a 4-inch-wide octagonal or round box, either 1 1/2 inches or 2 1/8 inches deep. It may have extendable arms.
Buying information: As the name suggests, this is for use on a ceiling. It may house a light fixture or be a point where a number of wires meet, a branch-off. Use it for new work.
How-to hint: Extend the arms on the box until they contact the framing members and then drive the nails through the holes into the framing members.
