Description: This is thick, viscous black material, about the consistency of tar.
Buying information: It is used for a variety of jobs, including sealing patches for flat roofs, sealing flashing, and patching gutters. It comes in 1- and 5-gallon cans, and in regular and flashing grade; the latter is thicker and better.
How-to hints: Asphalt cement must be applied to a dry surface. Use a trowel.
