ANTISLIP TAPE
Description: This is closed-cell mottled vinyl tape that looks a bit like Styrofoam. It comes in 1-,2-, 3-, and 4-inch widths.
Buying information: This tape is excellent for making surfaces slip-proof. It is used on steps, running boards of vehicles, and the like, as a safety measure. It sticks well to nonporous surfaces, but not so well to porous ones.
How-to hints: Peel off the pressure-sensitive backing, then lay tape in place. It is important for adhesion that the surface be clean and dry. Cleaning the surface beforehand with isopropyl alcohol is a good idea. Do not use alcohol near an open flame.
