WIRE-REINFORCED GLASS
Description: This is 1/4-inch-thick clear glass in which are embedded thin wires, which are visible.
Buying information: It is good wherever you want security against break-ins, such as in a garage-door window. A burglar could crack the glass but would have difficulty getting through the wire.
How-to hint: Cut with a standard glass cutter, but hinge it -- bend it back and forth -- to separate pieces. Bending works much better than using snips to cut the wires.
