Description: This type of glue usually comes in solid, clear, pencil like sticks 2 to 4 inches long. Sticks are hot-melted in an electric glue gun and extruded either by trigger action or with thumb action. Cool-melt glues -- which liquify under 200 degrees Fahrenheit -- are also available, as are white caulking sticks and a variety of other glues designed for different materials.
Buying information: It is good for quick repair or clamping something together before permanently fastening it. The white caulking glue is simply regular glue colored white, but it works well on some caulking jobs.
How-to hints: Hot-melt glue sets in seconds, so you have to know exactly what is to be glued and how. Take care not to get the glue on your skin; it gets to be around 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
